Young people mainstream often misses
Every young person arrives with their own story. These are some of the situations we're set up for.
Who we Support:
SEMH
Social, emotional & mental health needs
Anxiety, low mood, trauma or difficulty regulating emotions can make a busy classroom feel impossible. We work at a pace that feels safe.
EOTAS
Education Otherwise Than At School plans
We provide structured, accountable provision for young people whose EHCP names an EOTAS package, working closely with local authorities throughout.
Transition
Young people let down by mainstream
Those who've faced exclusion, repeated moves or a placement breakdown often just need a fresh start somewhere that genuinely understands them.
EBSA
Emotionally based school avoidance
When attending school has become too distressing to manage, we help young people re-engage with learning gently, without the pressure that pushed them away.
Home education
Home-schooled learners
Families who are electively home educating can use us for qualifications, structure and social contact — additional support that fits around home learning.
Person-centred
And anyone who needs a different way in
We're not a 'square peg, round hole' provider. If a young person hasn't fit elsewhere, that's exactly who we're here for. Talk to us.
“ RENU saved my daughter! she was out of education for some time and had lost her sense of belonging and was really struggling with all aspects of life, then she joined RENU the staff are supportive and caring and very understanding of individual needs, she thoroughly enjoys coming every week and really enjoys the course and the new challenges involved and when she is having a down day she knows there is always someone to turn too who will listen and take care of her :) My daughter is now looking forward to started post 16 with RENU after a successful pre 16 placement. “
